【Study Tour2026】ニュージーランド語学研修8日目
Hamilton Girl’s High Schoolでバディやファミリーとの最後の時間を過ごしました。
本日はオークランドに宿泊し、明日出国予定です。

Today was our last class. I felt really sad because I couldn’t believe the language training was already ending.
When I said goodbye to my buddy, I remembered all the fun times we had together, and I cried a lot. Even though we were only together for one week, my buddy became very special to me.
I am really thankful to my buddy for always being kind to me and helping me when I couldn’t understand English. I had a really great time with my buddy, and I will never forget the memories we made together. I am very sad to say goodbye, but I am really happy that I could meet my buddy.(K.N)

Today was my last day at school.
In the morning, I drew a portrait of my host family and gave it to them. They were very happy, and I was happy too.
When I got to school, my buddy was already there. She gave me some snacks and bought me blueberry water. I was very happy. In class, especially during cooking class, the teacher also took the time to say thank you to me. It made me feel very warm and happy.
After school, my buddy and all my friends were crying. I was very sad too, but the letters they gave me were so touching. I felt very lucky to have such a wonderful buddy.
At the hotel, I had dinner with everyone. I ate some very delicious meat.
I want to get a good rest for my flight tomorrow.(H.O)

Today was my last day in New Zealand. I had classes as usual and talked a lot with my buddy. At first, I was nervous about speaking English, but little by little, I became more comfortable and enjoyed communicating in English.
In the morning, I gave a letter to my host family. They were very happy and hugged me, which made me very happy too. Although I stayed with them for only a short time, we spent many wonderful moments together, such as eating, shopping, and playing card games.
During my stay, I learned a lot about New Zealand’s culture and lifestyle. By talking with local people, I could feel their kindness and warmth. Seeing the haka and a kiwi in Rotorua were also very special experiences.
Through this trip, I learned that trying to communicate is important, even if my English is not perfect. I want to remember what I learned here and continue studying English. I also want to become a person who can have a positive influence on many people. This trip was a very special and unforgettable experience for me, and I hope to visit New Zealand again someday.(R.K)

Today was the last day of school, and I made new friends, and I started speaking to myself more in English, so I felt like I was growing, but I still didn’t have enough vocabulary and I felt like I wasn’t studying enough. When I returned to Japan, I decided to participate more actively in class and ask questions. When I said goodbye to my buddy, I shook his hand and hugged him, and although I was sad to say goodbye, I felt like I was starting a new journey for myself. When we arrived at the hotel, we ate a very delicious steak and had a lot of fun. I also enjoyed watching YouTube and talking with my roommate.(F.O)

Today, I said goodbye to my family and friends. Before going to New Zealand, I was not confident in English, I was very anxious, and I was nervous about living with my family. However, everyone treated me so kindly that I loved the people of this country and New Zealand so much that I didn’t want to go back to Japan. I was very grateful for your help for about 10 days, and I was able to make a lot of fun memories. I vowed to everyone that I would not forget even if I returned to Japan. In life, this experience is very special.(M.I)

Today was the last day of my homestay and school. When I left the house in the morning, I hugged my host family and said goodbye. I was very sad. At school, I also said goodbye to many people.
Today, from the second half of the third period, we were supposed to visit the place where they are building a new gym. However, the teacher didn’t come, so we couldn’t do anything. Because of that, we went there from the fourth period instead. The new gym was very big and beautiful.
After that, we had some free time, so I taught my friends some Japanese. We also talked a lot about Japan.
During lunch, we talked and laughed a lot together. It was the most fun lunch time of this study tour.
When it was time to say goodbye to my buddy, we hugged each other a lot. I was really sad. I want to come back to New Zealand and see everyone again someday.💕🇳🇿(N.I)

Today was a day of laughing and crying a lot. First of all, in the morning, we all had breakfast with our host family and said goodbye with a smile. We played and talked until the very end. And I received a family photo as a gift from the host mother. When I saw the photo at the hotel, I was very happy and lonely at the same time. I want to cherish it forever.
And at school, I had the last class with Buddy. I was able to express my gratitude to the teacher, not only the buddy, but also the classmates who have gotten along with me so far, and the Hamilton students who talked a lot in class. Buddy gave me countless gifts and memories. I couldn’t help but say goodbye to such a buddy. I cried a lot, but in the end I was able to say goodbye with a smile. Through this experience, I was able to grow tremendously in many aspects. I will do my best to study English at the same time as I will make use of it in my future school life!!(C.F)

Today was the day to say goodbye to my host family and my buddy. My host family gave me some photos, and my buddy gave me a candle, some snacks, and accessories. I am very thankful to my host family and my buddy for always being kind to me, even though there were many things I didn’t understand every day. I want to use this valuable experience in my future life.(T.S)

Today was my last day of school. When I woke up this morning, my roommate and I gave our host family a letter. I was so happy when my host mom told me, “Feel free to contact us anytime if you want to come back here.” As we got into the car and said goodbye to my host mom, she told me, “Be sure to contact me when you get back to Japan. Thank you,” and gave me a hug. I’m not usually very emotional, but when I realized this really was goodbye, my eyes welled up with tears. I also received lots of gifts from my buddy and classmates. I got jewelry, handmade knitted items, and friendship bracelets. The letters were written in Japanese, and what made me happiest of all was knowing they had put in the effort to write them just for me. I was able to live safely in New Zealand thanks to my host family, my buddy, and my friends, so I’m filled with gratitude for everyone who helped me grow during this study tour. Even though we’ll be far apart, I want to keep in touch from time to time and maintain these relationships.(M.M)
