8月6日（木）

本日はまず、体育でAFL（オーストラリアン フットボール）を体験しました。

ラグビーボールに初めて触れた生徒も多く、投げる・蹴るの際に、ボールがあちらこちらに跳ね、なかなか上手くキャッチすることが難しいようです。キックベースのようなアクティビティもありました。

バディたちが多く所属しているYear8の集会に参加し、校歌を披露しました。歓迎してくださっている反応で、生徒も嬉しく感じたことでしょう。

Morning Teaのあと、幼稚園の児童たちに日本や日本の文化・遊びを紹介しました。準備をしてきたものは、うまく伝えられたでしょうか。

その後、”What is Australia?”と題した地理・歴史のオーストラリアにまつわる授業を受けました。

午後のEnglish Lessonは昨日以上に意欲的に取り組みました。

そして今日はホストファミリーと何をして過ごすのでしょうか。

【8月6日の日記】

It is the third day of my home stay. I am very happy because the number of words I can speak is increasing little by little! After school, I went for a walk with horse together with my host sister. The mini pony was super cute. It was also great to be able to talk a lot with Buddy. Im so satisfied that I could take many pictures as well!! (A.T)

Today, I played Australian sports in school. It’s very fun.

I became friends with my Buddy. In lunch time, I played chess.

I went to shopping center after school. I brought cosmetic.

I ate hamburger. It was very delicious. (S.N)

I enjoyed AFL.

And I was glad to take a picture with my buddy in lunch time.

After dinner, I went to a shopping mall. I had a really good time!

I was able to become friends with the host sister and most mother. (Y.N)

Today I had physical education in the morning and play AFL and something like a “kick base” in Japan and kick tennis. All of them, I used a rugby ball and they were very fun. After that, I introduced Japanese culture at the school’s kindergarten. My group did a quiz about Japanese culture with a 4-year-old child. I thought it would go smoothly, but I struggled because the child was moving around and didn’t respond. In the afternoon, I learned about English expressions and Australia in English class. When I looked at the population table of each age, I felt a big difference that there are many elderly people in Japan and the number of children is small. (S.W)
