8月7日（金）

本日はEnglish Lessonからスタートしました。

オーストラリアの動物たちに関して、先生が持ってきてくださった資料から特徴を読み取り、小さなポスターを作りました。

資料をじっくり読むことで、オーストラリアの動物の面白い部分を再認識することができたと思います。

次にArt Classに行き、ベジマイトの瓶に飾ったオーストラリアの花の絵を描きました。花のサイズを想像しながら、楽しんで描くことができました。

昼食にも慣れてきたのか、バディやその友達とのお喋りが尽きません。

午後はEnglish Lessonでポスターについて発表し、また昨日の宿題として出された、昨晩何をしたかのスピーチをしました。

その後、学校のチャペルにて、Primary Chapelの見学をしました。キリスト教に関して馴染みのない生徒も少なくありませんが、新鮮な気持ちで見学できました。

明日・明後日はホストファミリーと過ごす１日になります。今日も含め、どのような楽しい出来事が待っているのでしょうか。

【8月7日の日記】

Today, I played Roblox with Sophie while we snacked. I’m happy to see that she’s become more attached to me than I expected.
In the evening, a lot of strangers came in. I felt like I could communicate better than I did on my first day in Australia.
I had dinner with Olivia, Sophie, and both sets of grandparents. (R.F)

After school today, I enjoyed coloring sheet with my host family, Freja, Esther, and Jude. We filled in colors on sheets featuring a sunrise, koinobori and so on. It made me happy to see how much they enjoyed it. I was also glad that they understood when I explained the meaning behind the images. I’m looking forward to having fun with them again tomorrow! Today, we had English and art lessons.
In English, we introduced the EMU to class.
In art class, we drew flowers in a jar of Vegemite.
On the homestay, we’ll go to the flower market tomorrow.
For dinner, I had pasta with tomato sauce! And It was delicious. (R.K)
